The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA will be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

“The purpose with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the superior range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The service issue made sassa status check for intervention activities a higher inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to help the servicing of all buyers and enhance entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
